scientific mysticism: whole brain consciousness
My path in life has been shaped by a deep commitment to the scientific method, grounded in years of formal training and professional experience. As a cognitive behavioral psychologist, I’ve always believed in the power of logic and reason to solve problems. However, over time, I’ve come to realize that the scientific perspective, while powerful, has its limits.
This realization became clear to me through a transformative personal journey—a journey that began when I started to explore the more mystical aspects of life. For years, I focused on the measurable and the tangible, believing that everything could be understood through rational analysis. Yet, I found that there were dimensions of experience that couldn’t be captured by the scientific method alone. These were the subtle, inner experiences that were deeply personal and spiritual.
A pivotal moment in this journey occurred in 1994, when I opened myself to the wisdom of my Higher Self and Divine Guidance. As a trained scientist, I struggled with how to integrate these experiences into my worldview. At first, it felt as if they conflicted with everything I had been taught. But instead of denying them, I chose to expand my understanding, allowing space for both science and mysticism to coexist.
This balance between the rational and the spiritual has become the foundation of my work. I believe that true understanding lies not in choosing one path over the other, but in embracing both. Science and mysticism, when woven together, offer a richer, more holistic view of life and our place in the universe.
